Description

Handwoven belts made of 100% cotton thread in a variety of colors and patterns.

Tablet weaving is done in narrow bands on band looms which may vary in size and produce bands of varying lengths, or via the backstrap method where the tension is maintained by attaching the band to one’s belt. Each band (belt) is created one at a time and I like to vary the designs, so you will rarely find more than one belt in any pattern.

Tablet-woven bands are somewhat thicker and stiffer than inkle-woven ones and the patterns resulting from each technique are different.

The belts are priced according to their length and width.
